Norwich is a city in Norfolk about 100 miles north-east of London. It is the county town of Norfolk and traditionally seen as the chief city of East Anglia. The population of the Norwich City Council local authority area is around 145,000.

Originally known for the woollen trade and Colman’s Mustard, Norwich's main employers are now in business and financial services, public services, retail and light manufacturing and tech.

Norwich is also known for Norwich Union (now Aviva), and the Norwich Research Park where 115 businesses and 3,000 scientists, researchers and clinicians work. The East of England region is one of the fastest-growing regions in the UK, both in terms of population and economy.

Norwich has scored highly for quality of life in many surveys. It’s big enough to have most of the city amenities anyone might need but is quieter and safer than many cities, making it popular with family buyers and tenants.

The City Centre and Inner Suburbs contain new build apartment blocks and period conversions, and some traditional terraces. The North East Suburbs have good access to the Broads and coastline and have recently benefitted from the A1270 road opening.

The South East Suburbs have good city centre access and good value properties, while the South West Suburbs are popular residential areas close to the university and hospital campuses.
