Swindon is a town in Wiltshire, 71 miles west of London, with a population of around 182,000.

The railway station is on the line from London Paddington to Bristol, and the town is home to the English Heritage National Monument Record Centre, the headquarters of the National Trust, and the head office of the Nationwide Building Society. A Honda car manufacturing plant, which is due to close in 2021, is nearby at South Marston.

The old town area hold a vast variety of highly sought after traditional Victorian and Edwardian terraces that are popular due to their larger rooms and period features, while the neighbourhoods close to Coate Water Park on the south east of town contain 1930s detached houses and new builds.
